For our 30th issue, slated to be published in December 2021, we are holding a call for entries to discover work that we had not known among our readers. DEAR DAVE, is looking for photographic portfolios that honor our interest in revealing work that is original, unpredictable, informed, and deserving of further recognition.

Deadline October 24, AT Midnight

Submission Guidelines:

• up to 10 images per artist.

• Images must be no larger than 1000 pixels on the longest side, 72ppi, saved in jpeg form.

• Label files with your name and numeration, example: last name_firstname_ 1.jpg, Thornhill_Roger_3.jpg

• Accompanying the work, please include an artist statement and biography.

This call for entries is open to all photographers of all backgrounds—professional, amateur, student—and there is no entry fee. Those who will be included will be notified on November 1 and hi-res files will be expected within 72 hours.

Those not chosen for print will be eligible for their work to be a part of Dear Dave, photograph of the day on Instagram, and other opportunities.
