DEAR DAVE, is a tri-annual publication of photography and writing, celebrating a community of visual thinking with affection and mirth, publishing idiosyncratic and original work that is deserving of further recognition. DEAR DAVE, is interested in the most unpredictable work of all genres and sensibilities, and from the familiar to the unknown.

Since 2007, DEAR DAVE has published prose by Hilton Als, Lyle Rexer, Christopher Bollen, Lynne Tillman, Jim Lewis, Glenn O’Brien, Joan Juliet Buck, Linda Yablonsky, Philip Gefter, Laurel Nakadate, Paul Moakley, Alix Browne, Liz Goldwyn, Mark Alice Durant, Richard Woodward, Susan Bright, Derek Blasberg, Ryan McGinley, Roxana Marcoci and David Levi Strauss, among many others.

Photographic portfolios have included work by Erik Madigan Heck, Josef Astor, Asger Carlson, Bobby Doherty, Eva Stenram, Ina Jang, Valerie Belin, Marco Breuer, Namsa Leuba, Joshua Citarella, Jessica Craig-Martin, Daniel Saanwald, Helen Levitt, Billy Monk, An My-Le, Thomas Prior, Brian Finke, Timothy Greenfield Sanders, and Neil Krug.

DEAR DAVE, engages a series of ongoing, public conversations and has arranged dialogues between Saul Leiter with Vince Aletti, Juergen Teller with Cathy Horyn, Paul Graham with Philip Gefter, Oliver Chanarin and Adam Broomberg with Susan Bright,Thomas Struth with Gil Blank, Elinor Carucci with Susan Bright, Penelope Umbrico with Cay Sophie Rabinowitz, Todd Hido with Darius Himes, Roger Ballen with Darius Himes, Roe Ethridge with Kevin Moore, Rosalind Solomon with Charlotte Cotton, among others.

DEAR DAVE, magazine is now available only by subscription or single issues by post. All back issues are sold out. Published three times a year in May, October and February, DAVE, is printed in a limited edition of 410. Forthcoming single issues are $21 and an annual subscription is $60.
